MojaKid Sustainability and Ethical Practice

At MojaKid, we’re really proud to be at the forefront of change.

Each and every MojaKid garment shows that style can have a soul; that branded clothes don’t have to harm the planet, or have a negative impact on people. What we really want to do is show that there’s no need to choose between free spirit and free trade. MojaKid brings both of these two things together in unity for a sustainable future.

We’re achieving this in two ways:

1. We’re Selective About Our Materials

Our garments are made from GOTS certified organic cotton and recycled polyester from PET plastic bottles that would have ended up in our oceans and landfills. By being picky about our materials, we can produce cool casual wear using 90% less water than we would if we were using regular cotton. And as the water that we do use is free of nasty stuff like pesticides and insecticides, we can direct this water back into water systems or farming processes without harming the environment, farmers, or their families.

2. We’re Selective About Who We Partner With

At MojaKid, we believe in spreading messages of positivity. We believe in encouraging free thinking, in boosting inclusivity, in breaking down barriers, and most of all in showing that we can do all this without causing harm. And we think it’s massively important to work with partners who feel exactly the same. That’s why we only work with partners who share our vision for a better world. Our partners are certified by GOTS, Oeko-Tex, GRS, OCS, PETA, and FWF, with ethics and sustainability at the heart of what they do.

Giving Back

We’re incredibly grateful for what we have learnt from cultures all around the world. They’ve taught us the values of Shanti (peace), Ai (love), Hōzhō (equilibrium), Zoi (life), Bunji (friends), and much more. Now, it’s our turn to give back. We donate 25% of all MojaKid profits to charities tackling childhood hunger around the world. And if you send back your preloved MojaKid garments when you’re done with them, we can pass them on to help provide vulnerable children at orphanages in different countries with essential clothing and an opportunity to learn about another culture.

We are not perfect…we do not claim to be either.  We believe we are on the right path with the right ethos and we strive to learn, develop and improve at every step towards a more sustainable and unified future!
